Stainless Steel 304 Flanges

 Types of Flanges

In today's world, stainless steel 304 is a widely used metal. Stainless steel is widely recognised and chosen above various other metals owing to its physical features like superior corrosion resistance, durability, high strength, etc. Stainless steel is used in manufacturing many different goods for use in the commercial, industrial, and domestic markets. One of the most often used items made from Stainless Steel 304 Flanges. There is a large range of flanges available for purchase, and this article outlines eight main kinds of flanges and their purposes.

Types of Stainless Steel Flanges The following are the top 8 stainless steel flanges used in stainless steel pipes

Weld Neck Flanges: Flanges with projecting necks are known as weld neck flanges. Weld neck flanges mirror the pipe in both angle and wall thickness. Weld Neck Flanges are the preferred choice when extreme service conditions are present, such as low or high temperatures and pressures.

Slip-On Flanges: Slip-On Flanges are our most cost-effective flange option. The slide-on flanges, as the name implies, need to be simpler to slip over the pipe, and so they have a little bigger diameter than the pipe. Filet welded in place, these stainless steel Slip On flanges are suitable for low-pressure applications.

Blind Flanges: The flanges are built without a bore and are used to seal vessel openings or pipe systems. Blind Flanges are often used when regular visual inspection of the piping system or vessel is required. You may get the blind flanges with or without hubs, and high pressure from inside poses no problem for these SS 304 Blind Flanges.

Threaded Flanges: These flanges, also known as screwed flanges, contain a thread inside the flange bore that matches a male thread on the pipe. Flanges with threaded connections are utilised in uncommon contexts and are simple to put together without the need for welding. Stainless steel 304 threaded flanges are compatible with pipes with external threads.

Lap Joint Flanges: Slip-on flanges of the lap joint variety are used in conjunction with stub end fittings. Pipelines made of low alloy steel or carbon steel that need frequent inspection and maintenance benefit greatly from the use of Lap Joint Flanges.

Socket weld flanges: These flanges are used on high-pressure pipes with tiny diameters. Socket weld flanges' durability and endurance limit are enhanced by the presence of internal welds. There is a need for these flanges in the chemical processing sector.

Orifice Flanges: The steel flanges known as "orifices" are used to allow fluid and gas metering systems access to a line. When the orifice flanges are set up, they receive orifice plates or flow nozzles.

High pressure and high temperature applications call for flanges with a ring-type joint. Blind, slip-on, or weld neck flanges can be squeezed with ease using the ring-type joint's groove. Flanges aid in preventing media leaks in high-pressure, high-temperature pipelines. Which Stainless Steel 304 Flanges are best for your job will depend on the circumstances.
